Imagetwist problems.

I use Chrome on an Android tablet and normally have no problems downloading images. With Imagetwist, though, I just get redirected and when I get to the pic I can't download it. With Imagetwist being used more and more this is becoming annoying.

Because imagetwist is a pay per click cash imagehost and used by various cash posters.

I use the Google Chrome browser, on a Dell computer running Windows 7. I am located in western Canada (where our Internet service Providers have not yet throttled access to known porn sites).

I, too, had a lot of problems with re-directs & screen freezes when attempting to open thumbnail images posted at VEF (and hosted at several image-host sites). After having my computer hijacked repeatedly over a period of 4 days by bit-coin mining scripts, I added two free "Extensions" to my Chrome browser; No-Script Lite, and Anti-Miner.

I recommend these free Extensions to any Chrome user, and believe that they are also available (free of charge) in formats compatible with Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.

Since installing these Extensions I have had no problems with re-directs, etc. Even Image-Twist pictures open quickly and easily. I do not even have to add their URL to the "Whitelist" . . . although I do have to add VEF and many other forums and sites I visit (so that I can log-in).

When a site is trying to launch scripts, I receive a notification from No-Script Lite in the form of a little blue icon in the upper right hand corner of my browser.

In this example, the icon was triggered by imagebam, and I chose not to add it to my Whitelist because the photo downloads without trouble. At least I am made aware that imagebam is trying to run a script, and I have a choice.

Hope this helps!

Unfortunately, Yes.... Though I for one continually still have issues with their pix more often than not. I've given up even clicking on certain members posts, as I know they continue to use this useless cash cow host.

Curious

This host was woeful back a few years with a 9-10 second count down when i was using firefox with no script / ad block plus for every pic

Using chrome with script safe & ublock origin just recently it had all changed - no delays or countdowns

On Windows 7

Almost appeared like a non-rewards host

I'm using both Win10 & 8.1, on separate machines... riles me no end!

I have ublock, but not script safe; but shouldn't need to install add ons for the sake of a host, never have before...

Thanks, qws.
I've seen on other forums the "bread posters", as Dub used to call them, using this host.

I didn't join, but when I looked at joining, they don't hide this fact, that they are pay per click hosts.

Now, I am seeing some of the same posters from the other forums creep into VEF.
Sometimes not even changing their user names or avatars, clearly cashing in here.

I think you busted one of the video cash posters who take existing VEF clips,
and re-encode them with a black margin around the raster, as if "different" source.
He's long since banned, but still active in these same other forums. (Partogas)

These guys are now posting in the various modern forum threads that allow like,
just a bunch of different images posted based on body part, niche, whatever the thread calls for.

Looks like with Imagetwist, you don't have to download, just clicking on it pays out.

I am wondering why VEF allows this image host to thrive here.

Many of us just want to innocently and honestly share, scan, or collect.

Well, we were ready to ban Twist but then the IBam/Box fiasco happened so we decided not to ban it because other hosts were going down at that time as well.

Right now it's still allowed but that may change in the future.
