Another set for feedback - 12/76 Housebreakers

Hello -- Thanks for your earlier help and feedback. I am moving on to my 2nd set -- a b/g set in the Dec 1976 issue called "Housebreakers".

I have posted below thumbnails of my first 2 scans from this set. I'd like some feedback on these before I continue. All thoughts welcome.

In one case, I posted the original raw scan saved as JPG so you can compare to what I did with it.

Thanks,
- Kid C.

The first pic looks perfect to me. The editing you did on the second pic is an improvement to the original.

I'd love to see the rest of this scan, as I have the original magazine, but it is buried away in the loft.

Here is the last one I will submit for preview. It's a pic that spans 2 pages. You shouldn't have much trouble determining where the seam is. It gave me trouble. The man's shoulder doesn't quite fit in but I couldn't get it to look the same without making the rest of the image look out of place. Oh well. Working on this set to post maybe this weekend in the regular thread.

Is the colourdifference the problem?

The seam is not too apparent, the size of the shoulder to the arm seems to be not too much out of shape.
Colour difference between the pages is a big problem which bothers me every time, if this is the problem You are reffering to, have You tried already with a matt black thick paper (card-board) behind the to be scanned page?
Unwanted colour bleedthrough from the opposite page is then less visible. Experimenting with this could improve the image: sometimes doing this with one page and not with the other page could balance the colours. Using a matt dark brown paper instead of the black one could help too, experimenting needed here too, timeconsuming but worth a try. see also the scanning feedback threads.

With kind regards, haVEFun here.
