Click on DisableOSUpgrade.

Chose 'Modify'.

In the window type '1'.

Your window must look like this.

I don't have a DISABLEUSOUPGRADE showing.
How do I get that ?

Please read my previous posts again.

Under the key 'MicrosoftUpdate' you should not have the sub-key 'AU'.
This sub-key should be deleted but it does no harm if you keep it.

Place your mouse on the key 'MicrosoftUpdate' and right-click.

You should have several choices the second one of which should be 'New' or 'Add'.

You select this one and you have a sub-menu which offers you several options.

Don't choose the first one, choose 'Value DWORD 32 bits' and then you must see in the right window a new value which should be marked by a rectangle.

You just type 'DisableOSUpgrade'.

When you have created it, you'll see in the third column '0x00000000 (0)'.

You must change it to '1' by clicking on it.

Then in the menu that appears you choose 'Modify'; in principle that should be the first option in this menu.

You simply type '1'.

And you are finished.

After you have set 'DisableOSUpgrade' to 1 it should read '0x00000001 (1)'.

A precaution to take if you are not very sure of yourself.

I did not speak of an important precaution to take before altering the Registry.

In Regedit save your Registry by clicking on 'File' and choose 'Export'.

You choose a name for this backup for example 'MyBackup.reg'.
'MyBackup' is the name you have chosen; 'reg' tells Regedit it is a Registry file.

To return to the previous version of the Registry you would simply choose
'File' then 'Import'.

Finally, Redmond will soon start what it calls an "experiment" to bring users of pirated Windows (or "non-Genuine" Windows, in Microsoft's terminology) into the fold. Myerson writes that Microsoft has seen many efforts by non-Genuine users to try to upgrade to Windows 10, and claims that in many cases the users have resorted to buying Windows 10 online. To embrace these users, Microsoft will add easy access to the Windows Store to provide a streamlined route to buy Windows 10. If this experiment is successful, it will be expanded to other markets.

Interesting that Terry Myerson gives the 110 million devices upgraded figure.

I run a small website, and your post made me think to dig into it's stats to see who's using what.
