Limited-time bounty program by Microsoft

Today, Microsoft is announcing the launch of a limited-time bounty program for speculative execution side channel vulnerabilities.

My understanding is this: Microsoft's team is still looking for ways to fight this new menaces which are shaking the whole computer programming since a while.

Microsoft has terminated many jobs and now they realize they lack talents to fight these new menaces.

Hence this announcement.

Any volunteer?

The sums offered are ridiculously low in regard of the subjects.

On my 8.1. machine I just installed updates and one was: KB2976978. What? Have I not seen this before?

Sounds just like the Windows 7 update farce that went on for months and months last year that was eventually fixed by everyone but Microsoft.

Overall i have no Problems with W10 other than that update business hopefully they have it sorted now and i won't have to report any more issues.

All depends what your running - some get away with no ill effects from updates but the plethora of sites about reporting otherwise never stops
