Yep, that's her. I know her anywhere. I had them move it on Myarchives to the right category.

A pic from this set was on the cover of an 8mm film sold on eBay recently. There were several films from an obscure films series. This film was just called "The R*pe" or something like that. I'll try to locate the cover. So there is a chance this is an 8mm release, although you can never trust the cover alone for the content of a film.

This is a scene from the aforementioned Cherry Truckers. It may be the same scene shot from different angles as per the posts on this thread about Rik Tazi'ner's movies (he is the director). The guy is Kelly Guthrie.

I have obtained Cherry Truckers and will try to make it available on VEF in the next week or so. It's an interesting movie and features a scene with Desiree in fetish gear playing a dominatrix. At one point she makes a girl go down on her with the words "Lick it bitch! Or I'll put you back in your cage". Mmmmmmm.

I saw Boogie Nights in full for the first time a few nights ago (yeah I know, a bit late to that party, lol).

There's been a lot of speculation about the characters in BN and who they're supposed to be based on - Dirk Diggler (John Holmes maybe), Jack Horner (Alex De Renzy?), Jessie St. Vincent (Jessie St. James) etc.

I think we can all agree though that the character of Becky Barnett pretty much has to be inspired by (if not actually based on) Desiree West - if only for the reason that it's virtually inconceivable that the character could exist in the movie were it not for Desiree.

Strange, but if you recall, Dirk Diggler mentions Holmes' character "Johnny Wadd" when proposing a new character that he and John C. Reilly's character were working up and trying to sell to Jack (Burt Reynolds) while taking a trip in that van.
Speaking of the Becky Barnett character, although she didn't do h/c, I've wondered if it was in fact Keli Stewart that the director was influenced/inspired by instead to cast that actress to play Becky. The resemblance in my view is startling between those two.

Exactly. Hence my original post. Was there another US black female performer in the 70s who could legitimately be called a "porn star"? Not that I'm aware of. Can't see the Keli Stewart thing, really. According to iafd she made only a couple of movies in the period covered by Boogie Nights.

Another thing: shouldn't Boogie Nights really be set in San Francisco for at least the period 77 to 79? I guess that's what happens when you get Ron Jeremy (who started on the East Coast in 79) to be technical advisor on a movie dealing with West Coast 70s porn; someone like John Leslie, Joey Silvera, Annette Haven et al would have been a better choice.

I think we all know that DW wasn't really one for taking facials (which is fair enough IMO). Iafd does list 4 facials though: Ceremony Ritual of Love, That's Porno, That's Erotic and Love Lips.

The first two are only technically facials, really. In CRoL she is blowing a guy who starts to cum in her mouth. It looks unplanned and she immediately points his dick at her tits. She gets a little cum on her lips, that's all. In TP she jerks the guy off onto her cheek.

Desiree's appearance in That's Erotic is limited to two brief clips (less than 10 seconds total) which are from the scene with Mick Jones in That's Porno. DW's "facial" consists of her rubbing Mick's dick on her right cheek after most of his sperm has dripped out of sight. It's the scene in post #1 of this thread, and the "Desiree's Dream" pics in post 14 appear to be from the same shoot.

Both movies were directed by one Adele Robbins (aka David Fleetwood, aka Joe Robertson), who was enamored of quick cut montages of various clips inserted between regular loops. He reached a zenith with Flight Sensations, where he managed to split-scene this technique (into quarters, no less!). Perhaps it was considered cutting edge in 1983, but I personally find it quite annoying, if not seizure-inducing. BTW, there's a clip of DW in Flight Sensations, but you've probably already seen it - I don't think old Adele did much original material.

That's Teenage Madam (Desiree's biggest starring role afaik). The scene where Holmes cums in her mouth looks kinda fake to me, though I certainly couldn't be sure.
