What is CryptLoad?

CryptLoad is the Download Manager of the Future.

The best advantage is that the Encrypted Links are not visible, therefore there is a good Protection. All links are encrypted in so called "CryptLoad Container Files" (*.ccf) and can be shared with other users without telling them the real links.

Instructions to install CryptLoad

The latest version of CryptLoad is 1.1.6. CryptLoad requires: Windows 2000, XP or Vista with .net Framework 2.0 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5&displaylang=en) installed.

Versions for Mac and Linux are not available until CryptLoad 2!
Solution for Mac and Linux --> Use JDownloader (http://jdownloader.org/download)

Go to http://cryptload.info/download/
and download the current version of CryptLoad.

Run CryptLoad.exe

How to use Cryptload to download rapidshare links?

While I fully understand the reasons why you use Cryptload and appreciate the effort you put in this tutorial, I sure hope very few are going to use it.
Many people (including me) are reluctant to install new software, especially if it's just for a few downloads.

This is what people want so can this be used with it???

If not then I agree an extra unnecessary program is not wanted.

This program is somewhat interesting, but does it not violate the V.E.F. Rules forbidding the posting of anonymized, encrypted or externally protected download links?

This program is somewhat interesting, but does it not violate the V.E.F. Rules forbidding the posting of anonymized, encrypted or externally protected download links? Not sure why that would be the case since he has a valid reason for doing it.

Although I too am not thrilled about installing another program, how would you like your Rapidshare files repeatedly deleted only a few hours after posting them?

If necessary, just uninstall CryptLoad after using it. That's what I did.

Even after uninstallation, a program often leaves files and registry entries behind, which has a negative impact on the performance of a computer.

Besides, I re-image it at least once a year.

BTW, when you get the virus warning [IF you get it], let your virus checker clean it. it will remove a small file in a oddly named folder that is not needed and the program still works perfectly.

Btw, if someone wants a thoroughly clean uninstall of a program off their machine, then I would also recommend jv16PowerTools. Using their software manager, it not only removes the folder in Program Files, it also removes all registry entries and .dlls associated with that specific program.

The fact that this software may load a (potentially) infected file located in an "oddly named folder that is not needed", which (may) get flagged by your Anti-Virus system, does not exactly instill confidence in the safety of this program.

(However, I am also aware of the fact that a number of Anti-Virus programs can unnecessarily flag legitimate files as threats for one reason or another).

What is the name of this questionable file, and what type of file is it? (i.e. what is its extension?)

This looks like a resounding NO,NO,NO we are not going to use this program that is just an excuse to get malware onto our machines.

It is unnecessary and potentially dangerous - 2 excellent reasons NOT to use this piece of garbage that by all accounts will not be available in a month or so. :p :p

To stop your rapid posts from being deleted just rename them to something that is not painfully obvious - such as the initials of the title then any bots will not be able to trace and so delete your posts.

I thaught this was pretty obvious but alas not.

Hey anyone could help with jdownloader? I am copying the link with ctr-c, and when I click in add URLs nothing happens, I add the link, click on PARSE URL and not a thing happens.

I wouldn't touch this thing with a ten foot pole. The only time I've encountered it was when attempting to download DJ's stuff. I'd rather forego the content than install this garbage on my machine. It is a mystery to me why anyone would want or need this program. It's child's play to prevent RS from deleting your uploads.

Here we have a piece of obscure third party software (which trips antivirus warnings) that expects you to provide it with your user ID and your password. This is just fucking crazy, you wouldn't even need to use the program once, just clicking the "OK" box during setup could send that critical info to their server.

http://thumbnails6.imagebam.com/3044/07e0c530438610.gif (http://www.imagebam.com/image/07e0c530438610)

All download managers are unsafe in this regard, but you can judge each of them on their track record before deciding whether to trust them with confidential info. As far as I can tell, Cryptload doesn't have a track record, since nobody uses it.

Here is one suggestion.
From:http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showpost.php?p=2214342&postcount=14
"The suspected file is nc.exe in the fritzbox folder. ESET just deleted
that file and cryptload continued to work properly. "

And what is a Fritzbox then?

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FRITZ!Box
"FRITZ!Box is a series of residential gateway devices from the German
company AVM GmbH.
There are several FRITZ!Box models available, but the most popular are
the ones that combine DSL and SIP VOIP. The FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN for
instance combines the following functionality:
# DSL modem
# Router
# Network switch
# Wireless access point"

This tool is 100 % reliable and free from virus.

No such thing as 100% reliable software in my opinion. As a matter of fact when you visit the cryptload forum, you get a much more realistic view of what you can expect.
http://cryptload.info/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=10

Here is an example
From: http://www.cryptload.info/forum/showpost.php?p=29693&postcount=1
"Where to start! I can't get cryptload to work at the moment and I
don't know what I'm doing wrong. In the setting when I try to do
anything or change anything I get a message in German telling me an
error has occurred. I can't check my premium account login as I just
get the error message. I'm running vista and I'm connected to a
wireless network via my laptop. Any suggestions on what to do would be
great........."

And the answer from "Main Staff" rated person is:
"run cryptload as admin or check if its blocked by a virus scanner or
firewall"

Running this software (under development+downloads stuff from the Internet) as Admin sounds like a bad idea.

There are some snake-oil-salesman arguments at;
http://cryptload.info/wiki_en/wiki/About_CryptLoad
"CryptLoad combines the Best Things of all known Download Managers and
gives you the possibility of direct downloading Encrypted Links, as
they are i.e. hosted by Rapidsafe.de."
It is nice too see that somebody has used and tested all the known download managers. Is it possible to expand on what lead to this bold conclusion? What criteria was used? For whom? What platforms?

As a side note, one seam to need additional plug-ins to make some things work properly.

However, I do think that cryptload is interesting, but currently there is no version for Linux/BSD/MAC. If there was an Open Source version I would happily have look at it.

I installed Cryptload some time ago, 'cause I found several links (pics) on another phorum I sincerely wanted.

It worked fine since today, as a DL-Manager it's useful when you let your machine run all night long.
The team's quite alert, they update their filters(?, whatever) within a few days when there are problems with filehosts.

There are just two minor things:
As an owner of a 8 year old computer, it takes long to start the program.
After the program catched the copied links (not the CL own ones .ccf), you can't find out what the orginal link was. So if the program would refuse to DL a file (which never happend) you wouldn't know how to DL it manually or search for the source where you found the link. Could be annoying.

Since I once changed my working-ID from "admin" to "user" I never had any problems with malicious software from the net. :)

When downloading whole dvd it works better for me to have an option to download just container file like CCF or DLC and let the download manager like JDownloader do the job.
Dvds are usually very big files so there`s many parts of RAR.-files and if the parts are 104 Mb each, you often end up having 10-24 parts.
I`m not a big fan of these programs, in fact I downloaded my first DLC/CCF-container files last December, and I first thought that whole thing sucked, but after fifteen minutes I got an idea, It`s not difficult or "cryptic" at all, I use old Mac so my computer-skills are far below average PC-user, and I`m lazy, very untechnical guy.:)
So now if there`s an option to choose container instead of big bunch of separate links when downloading a big file I think containers are very handy.
For photo-sets and clips It`s just annoying if the container is the only option, I think It`s smart to use common sense and camouflage your normal zip. or RARs, like at least NOT naming it by model`s /site`s name on it.

All this undercover agent stuff is of course useless, if you are quite sure that stuff you post is not a stench in the nostrils of searchbots. I think VEF is not the busiest place in their x-ray eyes?
But people who post fresh paysite-material are always on line of fire, for some of them it seems that this whole cat and mouse type "delete-reupload-delete-reupload-routine" is the juice of whole game. :D

Keep it simple and enjoy the views.

1. It's not useless at all. Owners of the content are after links; yeah right -that will put them out of their financial misery.

That said, JDownloader ain't 100% safe; having the right tools, you can get the links.

2. Not the juice of the game at all; links die due to greed (hence link wars) and/or point number 1 above.
