converting encrypted wmv file [moved]

I hope I have this request in the correct place.
I bought and downloaded a film in wmv format from a commercial site and want to convert it to avi or mpg. The file appears to have a block preventing this. Can any one advise me? I have tried several converters incuding SUPER.

Have you tried AVS?

No problem with AVS for me.

AVS gives an error signal when asked ot open the file. Thanks, though.
