Back in that same year (1974) I recall having read (to name just one star, but there are of course many others) an article about Annette Haven, stating she was "25 years old", thus born in 1949 (or 1948, depending when the article was written). In recent years, her birthdate (in Iafd, Wiki, etc) has crept up to "1954"...
Well, why not? Porn stars (indeed, many actresses of all kinds) have fake names, fake breasts, fake hair color, fake nationalities (how many people think Angelica Bella or Maria Bellucci are "Italian", for instance?) and (often) fake noses, so why not fake birthdates?
