It is very sad what happened to her and that the time line only goes to 1976.
Wish there was some way to find out what she is doing now.

For years, pre-internet, magazines listed her as having died from an overdose. Even though that turned out to not be true (as far as anyone knows), it's probably best that no one knows where she is. Given the trouble she had with her fame, I hope she gets to live out the rest of her life in peace.

Selfish man that I am, though, I'm glad that Playboy took so many pictures of her before she disappeared.

She was in a Star Trek episode, and all kinds of actors and actresses who were just guest stars go to those conventions. Does anyone know if she has ever done that? Also, any English translation of that German magazine story?

She had a lot of trouble with her fame. For many years she was believed dead, but in fact she just wanted people to forget her. So the chances of her showing up at a convention are, sadly, very slim.

Ms Derberg died a few years ago. The obit only mentioned her appearance in Star Trek.
The Internet Movie Database and Wikipedia are unaware of her death. The Star Trek wiki Memory Alpha has this paragraph about her:
“Over the years, rumors surfaced that she had died of a drug overdose in 1967 or that she had become mentally unstable as a result of using the drug LSD. In actuality, Denberg is currently alive and well, and is living in Klagenfurt, Austria, under her real name, Dietlinde Zechner.”

To Master Mike:
I hope you are right, that she has not died. The only time her death has been mentioned is in one newspaper. That newspaper eleced Dewey in 1948, so they are not a reliable source.
Susan did not die. She left the film industry at the end of the 60s during which she was heavily involved in the era's sex & drugs culture. The falsehood that she committed suicide is due to the interviews she made in her Austrian hometown, with her mother at her side. She was obviously depressed in those interviews. Nonetheless, she overcame that time and is alive. I don't know what has happened since then but I hope she is deeply fulfilled & happy.
