Whats good about VEF

After reading a lot of threads in this particlar forum,many of which are having a moan about this and that. I thought it be good idea if you folks out there said what was good about it.
I cant remember how I ever got here, but got here I did and it is the best forum on the net. I am a 50 something and had really no idea on how to contribute to this site, so at first I was a typical newbie and just downloaded what I could. After a while I worked out how load files on to this forum, not a great amount but every post is a plus for other members.

I dont know anywhere else on the world wide web where so many films/files are available to all no matter who you are. In general I have found other members very helpfull with great knowledge on all matters of the adult film industry.

My best wishes go out to this forum and all its members, whether senior or junior and maybe just like me a member! So everyone be nice to one and all, we are all here for a reason. That reason is this is a fantastic Forum and lets all work together to keep it that way.

It's good you mention it, sf4u, that the good things can't be said enough times, especially because our human senses get adaptated to everything and in the end we take all for granted! I know places, when nothing is said, it's already a compliment, but this culture is changing!

No forum is perfect. Here at VEF are so many difficult characters with difficult opinions and 'fetishes' that it's just impossible to make this community to everyone's paradise. But after some forums I'm part of, after years of usenet membership and with some experience in various filesharing networks I can clearly say: if you are a fan of good old porn there's absolutely no place online where you can find such concentrated high quality sharings like here at VEF - this is the f*ckin' best place for vintage erotica fans out there!

I find many of the posters here helpful and friendly. I try to contribute my knowledge when I can. I'm very grateful that I was able to find out the title of a drive in movie I've been searching for for years.

I was beginning to believe that maybe the adult magazines and movies I enjoyed in the past weren't that great. I found those sites with adult clips from newer films and pics of the current adult stars and they didn't do anything for me. Maybe the old stuff wasn't very good either.

There are times when I want to watch an adult film or look at a magazine. In recent years more often than not it left me cold. I didn't know there were other like minded people out there. The places I rented vidoes from went out of business and the adult channels were showing videos which didn't interest me.

I didn't want to subscribe to some lame rip off adult site.

I've only found this forum a couple of days ago, (not even sure how I came about it), but I must say that I am incredibly impressed. It's an easy forum to navigate and find what you are looking for; but mostly I am impressed with the overall level of interaction, politeness and how well informed the members of this forum are. just to say i agree with all the comments above.
i am 44 and grew up in the uk when all we could really get a hold of was the girlie mags, mayfair men only etc and the hardest you got was playbirds rustler etc and could not get hold of real porn films and mags.

Through the 80's and 90's i acquired some american VHS films which were lent to me by work colleagues who would say '' here check this film out'' but with being in various relationships and having kids i do not own any real porn that is not already on this site hence why i am a poor contributor but does that make it bad for me to download stuff on here.

Well I really have to say that so far, this forum has been one of the best things on the net for me.

I only joined VEF a month or so back, but I found so many classic old pictures I thought I'd never see again. I have only uploaded a few things so far but its a great feeling to be able to help others get what they're looking for and to be part of a forum community that collectively must have one of the best collections of classic porn anywhere.

One of the additional great things about this forum is the helpfulness of some of its members, especially the moderators and senior members. I am a technical neophyte and have learned more from the tech. forum than i had from the notebook forum that I belong to. The advice is given in a gracious and non-condescending manner that i appreciate. Even though this is a porn forum, it offers so much more than that to us all.

I like the fact that it's not only a place to let off steam and have a chat with members in some forums about life in general but also a place where high quality vintage porn is offered with no thought of reward....I lost a hard drive full of films and was offered advice on recovery straight away.

It's all good to me, but the icing on the cake is the Model ID Request Forum. Not only do I get ID's for models I've always wondered about, I also get the chance to help someone else ID someone I know. Double edged sword and both edges are fantastic.

However it does bother me a bit when folk put in requests like "ID this bitch", "Name this slut" or some such like. If the thread has that kind of title I tend not to help even if I know the ID, because the person requesting the ID sounds like a disrespectful fuckwit. Maybe I'm just old fashioned.
