What has happened to it ?
it used to be exciting, somthing you looked forward to.

Bobby Davro was once a big part of it, his show with lots
of sketches, lots of glam, lots of spoof
Russ Abbot... again lots of great sketches lots of comedy
those guys really put a lot of effort into it.

IN past years there have been some great one off shows,
like Soap celebs battling it out to sing the songs from Grease, a great show with the Bee Gees and a celeb audience ( including Patsy Palmer )

It all seems to have ended now as Simon Cowell has virtually taken over
Saturday night TV with a glammed up version of the Gong Show.........

its the end of television as we know it !

maybe what Im saying is what is going out of TV is ... " the sketch !
The two Ronnies shows were full of sketches, Dave Allen.
Monty Python, Les Dawson, Benny Hill, ....

Were forgetting the bread and butter of entertaining TV as
Simon Cowell and the accountants take over
stuffing ell, TV is already wall to wall soap and now
they are forcing out the comedy sketch and any kind of variety TV

The politically correct brigade are taking over and
we r'e being dumbed down on every side

( Bring back Thames Television ! )
