Similar to The Firefox and Extension Thread (http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/t37450-the-firefox-and-extension-thread.html) (thanks to AYHJA) I would like to create a thread with tips for Opera users.

I'm new to Opera, because I used Firefox for years. But about three months ago I noticed increasing problems browsing VEF. It seems to me that add-ons like NoScript and Adblock plus struggled against pop-ups to an extend that the CPU of my PC saturated. Loading pages took ages. As a result I got disconnected from Internet eventually more and more often (I'm using a USB modem @ 1024/128 kbit/s). To make it short: Using Opera I don't experience problems like that on VEF anymore. BTW, I'm using a portable / USB version of Opera, and Firefox is still my default browser.

Only thing I'm missing are image download helpers like DownThemAll and ImageHost Grabber. I didn't find similar Opera extensions yet.

If you have tested and want to recommend useful extensions, please post like this.
To make things more consistent throughout the thread, I have devised some preformatted BBCode that you can use...Should you choose to submit an extension, just copy, paste, and fill in the blanks..! Also, for clarification, these extensions are certified to run on (Opera), if your extension is NOT (Opera) compatible, please do mention it..!

nice of them to finally add extensions.
back when i used opera as my default browser it took too much work to get anything done in it,enable scripts you get ads regardless of the URL filter, disable scripts and you end up breaking some sites,so after meddling around with it for quite a while i just gave up on it and moved onto FF for good :D i do miss opera's cached forward/back 'feature' though..

Thanks to Al Gebra's thread I discovered Opera.
I had the same problem due to a slow internet connection. I was loosing connection very often.

In VEFR, I was rarely able to load these pages in magazine threads with over 100 pictures and more.

With Opera I am able to load them without loosing connection. And I just found a free add-on that makes it even faster.

It is called Opera Turbo. This add-on speeds up your connection and it works. It makes me go through these pages as if I had a very fast connection. These pages full of pictures are completly loaded in 2 or 3 seconds.

I am looking for an anti popup. I did not find the NoAds.

Opera has a builtin anti pop-up. You can activate it in this way: press F12, this menue should popup (sorry, my Opera is in german, but it should be no problem to find it out):

The built-in pop-up blocker is not very powerful.
