Sullivan Nasties Gave Me Nightmares.

Greetings.

To any one who grew up in the 1970s, wank-fodder (when one neededa wee dram of the hard stuff), inevitaby meant going down the newsagents and buying a Sullivan title such as 'Whitehouse' or 'Playbirds'.
What distinguished these mags were 'open fanny shots' (as they delicately called them), and limp (due to UK laws) dicks dangled (yes, dangled) strategically in front of female 'models'.
Anyhow the there was a horrible patina of 1970s dirt and sleaze permeating the mags.The women all seemed to be 'scrubbers' straight out of central casting.The men were even worse.One particular set still gives me nightmares from my youth.The featured stud was hideously ugly, aged about 50 dark and hairy with an odd foreign physigonimy (a primitive type of man, definitely not English and seldom seen in the streets), that for some reason just filled me with revulsion and horror even to this day.
Where did he find these scrubbers?, who were these scrubbers.I am still haunted.:eek:

Best we don't get into the specifics of who these models were I think. However, I don't have a high opinion of the David Sullivan business empire either. "Ethical" is not a word I would associate with him; on principle, I would advise any members to steer clear of special offers for mail-order pornography, sight-unseen. That used to be a speciality of his, as I recollect.

It's because of being ripped off so many times by Sullivan and his ilk that I feel absolutely no guilt now that I get ALL of my porn for free from the web nowadays.

A mention has to be made about the other ventures the bold David was involved with,namely Private Lines.We in Scotland were a bit late in coming to this party,due to our restrictive City Councils who did'nt want any of this filth in the cities,however we did get the tantalising glimpse into this exotic,sexy world which you lucky southerners had through the porn mags,remember when one opened in Glasgow,in an otherwise classy location in the East End,the reality after you walked through the door was a couple of shelves of cellophaned magazine packages,a selection of vividly coloured dildos and rubber johnnies.After you walked out of the place,feeling decidely unclean and seedy at the same time made you thankful that you did'nt buy any of the over-priced crap in the store.

I personally dont think they've ever been all that fussy about who they use,.
Maybe once upon a time some would turn female models away but i doubt it happened as often as they would have us believe,especially in hardcore photos & obscure films.

I must admit I pretty much boycotted everything but top shelf british porn mags in the 80s & 90s,so dire were my few porn film purchases via mail order in Australia

Somehow, she has managed to get the copyright of the photos and shows them at her own exhibitions.

the opposite problem is happening today... far too many pros posing as amateurs....!!! lost track of how many girls ive recently seen in supposed amateur or first time appearance vids....... only to note below, in the 'other related videos' section of the same video site, that she has already made twenty plus videos....!! if ur gonna perport to using amateur girls, at least dont use someone who's made many other films for ur company..???

another of sullivan's little 'treats' was to have the top shelf girls appear at his shops. it was always the same half dozen girls, always looking tired and bored, and always helping the rip of by charging silly money for a picture with them.
